Groom's Cousin, Lover of the letter "P"

Brandon says:

Our family has always been close, and while I was growing up, my cousins were some of my best friends. Even though Mikey is 20 or 30 years older than me, we've always had a special bond. He never treated me like someone young enough to be his son, but rather, always like "the brother he wished he had". I always looked up to Mikey, until I was about 10 and passed him in height, and have been happy to see our relationship change from young cousins separated by age, to the close friends we are today.

How I met the groom

April 8th 1981… I remember it like I wasn’t even there.. Cause I wasn’t. My wonderful Aunt Colleen was in the hospital giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. They never expected him to be so tall and handsome. As the doctor delivered him into the world, I was at my Aunt Pat's house playing football with my uncle Rick. He had gone in to answer the phone and was taking a little to long for my liking. As I ran in to get him, I slipped on the stairs and landed on my chin splitting it wide open. Aunt Pat took me to the hospital where my mom was waiting for Brandon to be born. She received a call saying that I was on the next floor getting stitched up. So let’s just say from the beginning, Brandon and I were always together in spirit.

What I think of the groom

Brandon is like the brother I wished I had. He is always there to cheer you up and cut you down when needed.

His comical wit and lovable demeanor are loved by so many.

So what do I think of the groom? I hate him.

My funniest memory of the groom

There are so many silly memories Brandon and I have had over the years so its hard to pick just one. One that seems to stick out in my mind though was when we went to Michigan to visit (our other cousin and groomsman) Josh. Just to let you know when Brandon and I get together we like to act like were 8 years old. Anyway, we were a little late getting to the airport in Grand Rapids. After Brandon got his bags screened for the third time cause we all know Brandon is a threat to us all. We had to sprint through the airport to catch the plane laughing the whole time. I have no Idea why, but we were. We took our seats, and turned the overhead air conditioning on to stop the sweat from reaching our eyes. I think that because we were tardy, they had to open the baggage door again to load our things. Now, I know you all have been on a plane and you know the sound it makes when loading baggage. Come on, be honest, it sounds like a giant fart doesn’t it? Well after the third time of this wonderful sound, Brandon and I started to laugh. I swear every 5 seconds it rang out again. Shmaaaaaaat! We got to laughing so hard the other passengers were starting to turn around to see what was going on. Little did they know that fart noises are our favorite sound in the world. I don’t think I had ever laughed so hard in my life. Thanks for all the wonderful gastric memories.

Departing words/advice for the groom

Keep on doing what you doing Brandon. You know where you want to go in life and there is no one that is going to stop you. You have found yourself a beautiful bride and I know after hanging with you guys, you two are meant to be together.

Any words for the bride?

You two are very lucky to have met each other. I wish you all the best and I love you both.
