Princess Poppy (what she likes to be called…he he)

Stephanie says:
What to say about this chick…well there is just too much. I met Poppy in the Summer of 2000 in Jacksonville, Florida.
We worked together at the Orange Park Country Club. We became roomies and best friends in Fall of 2001. After I graduated
from college and moved back to LA, we stayed in touch and on my return visit to Jax I was offered a job. So back to Jacksonville
and back to being Poppy's roomie once again! She is loads of fun and knows how to party. She would do anything for me and
defend me in a second. Without her continued friendship I may not have moved back to Jax, and met the man of my dreams.
Thank you Poppy for being you and can't wait for you to enjoy a LA wedding with me!

How I met the bride
I met Stephanie working at Orange Park Country Club (that’s in Jacksonville for all you out-of-towner’s).
Steph was a “cart-girl” and I was a banquet server. We actually weren’t that close until a mutual ex-friend, whose name we do not say
because she is a force that drives nausea into the stomachs of all who know her, needed a third roommate. So we all moved in together
and even though the wicked roommate worked hard to keep Stephanie and I at odds with each other, she was soon exposed in all her
heinousness! To sum it all up, we vanquished her from the apartment and had a happy ending.
What I think of the bride
Ok normally I would be very sarcastic here because the question begs for it, however I’m going to disappoint.
I think of Stephanie as one of the few originals left in a sea of people claiming to be something they’re just not. She is consistently who she
is and anyone who truly knows her can attest to that. Not trying to sound cheesy, but you can always count on her to stand up for what she
thinks is right, look you in the eye and say your screwing this up in the nicest possible way. She’s literally had to hold me through some of my
toughest moments and helped me to celebrate some of my best. I think of Stephanie as a friend that will continue to be there throughout my
lifetime because her friendship is simply one of those so rare you would be foolish to let go of.
My funniest memory of the bride
You are funny Steph! Just to let everyone know I’ve been pre-warned about my stories. IN FACT I’m sure I’m being
edited by Brandon or going through the bride’s approval process right now.
My Personal Favorite:
Right before Stephanie moved back to Jacksonville she came to visit me. It had been FOREVER since we had seen each other so we had some
catching up to do. Little did I know Steph was in full party mode! How the night got started is not as important as how it ended. At the stroke
of midnight (roughly) Stephanie turned into a sea-pumpkin. She insisted “Let’s go walk on the beach!” and we all fled through the doors of the
Ocean Club to stroll the sandy shore below. However. Stephanie failed to mention that she was going to take a swim… not a stroll. Oh not to
worry Mom she remained fully clothed… but you should have been there to see her stumble and drag her poor drunken friend in with her. When
Steph was little did she and a friend sit ankle deep in the ocean and bury each other in mud? It was a good thing we took my car…
Departing words/advice for the bride
Communicate – even if it hurts
Trust Him – let go of your heart and give it to him for safe keeping
Compromise- because even the smallest details make a difference
Any words for the groom?
There are just some things a man is supposed to do… like bug smashing, twisting the tops off those hard to open jars,
and cleaning around the sink after shaving (you're hairy Brandon).
