My soon to be Sister-In-Law

Stephanie says:
Thank you for bringing Brandon and I together. Without you we most likely wouldn’t have met and I
will always be grateful to you. You are a bright and beautiful person and I am blessed to have you
as my new sister.

Brandon says:
I agree with Steph on all counts. Shelby rules. I lived with her on our own in an apartment for over a
year (which is when I met Steph), and our relationship didn't suffer. It actually improved. I don't know many other
siblings who could do that.

How I met the bride
It was pretty much my fault these two crazy kids met at all. My good friend Amadeus told me of a great girl he worked with at the WB and that I had to come out and meet her because she was new and didn’t know too many people. So I took my best friend and met the two of them out for thai food. Ami introduced this little package of a girl and mentioned that she lived in my apartment complex. And all I could think was, “she is half my size!” The next week there was a knock at my door and there stood Steph in her pajama pants asking if I wanted to watch the WB. I invited her in.. introduced her to Brandon and it is history from there!
What I think of the bride
I think Stephanie is the outgoing, bubbly, kind, loving, happy, caring, southern, good cooking, silly, educated, non-smoker that my brother has been waiting for. I think Steph makes my brother very happy. And I think she will make a great wife for Brandon and a great mother to their children. I also think that it will be cool to have a fifth person with the initials “SW” in the family… Great Grandpa Scott Westerman (SW), Grandpa Scott Westerman (SW), Daddy Scott Westerman (SW), Me Shelby Westerman (SW) and now Stephanie Westerman.. GO SWs!!!!!
My funniest memory of the bride
This is an interesting one. I think the funniest story would be more of an “entertaining” story. It would be the night my mom and I had a girls night and invited Stephanie to come with us with her friends. She did partake in “spirits” and came over and tugged on my coat and said, “Shelby, I can’t drive home.” So I promptly called my brother, knowing he had mentioned how cute she was, and had him come get her. I told her, “My brother Brandon is coming to get you.” And she said something to the effect that she was glad she will get to talk to him. I watched her climb into the car with him and waved back out at me.. without a care in the world! Little did she know that would be a fateful night!!!!!!
Departing words/advice for the bride/groom
Always keep each other laughing. Humor is very important to a relationship. Besides his love, the greatest gift (in my opinion) my brother will give you is his patience. I would know… as his sister he has shown me a great deal of it for 24 years. Never take it for granted. And always be patient with him. You are both on a journey neither of you have taken before. There is not set of rules, no specific path to follow and no one to tell you what you should do. As long as you trust in each other, be patient with each other, laugh with each other and love each other you will do great!
